Your First Visit

YOU ARE WELCOME

Here at Zion, we understand how awkward visiting a church for the first time or two can be. We want you to know that no matter who you are, where you’re from, or what your background story is you are welcome here. If you have flaws, make bad choices at times, experience struggles, problems, or even doubts once in a while then you will fit right in. We strive to be a community that is inviting and encouraging.

YOUR FIRST TIME WITH US

Upon your first visit, you will find a group of friendly, casually dressed people who enjoy visiting with each other. Stop by our hospitality center for a refreshment and beverage.

Our greeters will welcome you with information regarding the service. An open nursery room is available for nursing mothers or attending fathers as well as staff available should you choose to leave your little one in the care of another.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN SERVICE

Our weekly service lasts approximately 50-60 minutes. We begin at 10:30 with a time of worship, announcements, and prayer followed by an engaging, Biblical, Jesus-centered message.

Our worship currently incorporates contemporary and traditional music led by our worship team using live instruments and videos. The words will be easily visible on the screens.

Young children up to 6th grade are invited to attend children’s church for a time of interactive learning.

GIVING AND COMMUNION

Our worship also includes a brief time of giving by our regular attendees and members to support our day-to-day operations, the missions we sponsor, and unplanned expenses. As guests, you are not asked to nor should you feel obligated to give.

The first Sunday of every month (and on special Sundays such as Easter/Christmas etc) we have a time of communion. Those who have made a public commitment to Jesus are invited to participate.

WHAT ARE MY NEXT STEPS?

The first “next” step is to accept our invitation to come back again the following week. If we didn’t make a lasting first impression we would welcome feedback on your experience and let us know what we can do better. If you’re new here and want to find answers to specific questions or see how you can connect more please feel free to email Pastor Mike at mike@coryzionchurch.org.

We Look Forward to Meeting You!

We hope that you will be inspired to grow close to Jesus and engage with others as we learn from the stories, truths and life principles of Scripture.  Your little ones will be in good hands in our nursery and interactive childrens’ programs if you choose.
